It is a privilege and honor to be a dentist. It's a trusted position in our community that I cannot take lightly. Being a dentist means treating each person with the same level of care I'd provide to a family member: professionally, compassionately, gently, and always with integrity.
I love my patients. It's fun and challenging to care for a five-year-old and teach them how to brush their teeth, then encourage a teenager to floss more regularly, and later in the day to talk with a 95-year-old about their oral health. I love seeing the broad spectrum of life and being able to offer assistance to everyone. After working in East Ventura for more than ten years, I've developed relationships with many families. Watching children become teens and then adults and having them feel like a member of my own family is lovely.
Every day, I'm challenged by dentistry. Each time I learn a new area of the profession, it's another tool in the toolbox that allows me to offer better treatment plans to my patients. I love that there is never any end to the number of things I can learn about my field, all focused on helping people develop and maintain excellent oral health and smiles.
As a Southern California native, he has loved living and working in Ventura since 2003. Shortly after moving here, he started what is currently the Surfside Dental office from scratch and has been growing it ever since. When not working, he's usually spending time with his wife, family, and four children. He takes time to serve underserved communities worldwide and has traveled worldwide, volunteering with dental mission service trips in Fiji, Peru, Mexico, and most recently in Jamaica. While back in Ventura, he enjoys surfing, biking in the hills above Ventura, running, or practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, where he is currently a brown belt.
